This is my version of time-elapsed photography. 125th to 59th on the D train.

I witnessed this on the train awhile back and I will honestly attest to the sequence of events shown here. They are in chronological order.

This is not how you pilot your child while maneuvering on public transportation. I am sad to bring you the following series of images. Please remember parents, nearly every moment is an learning opportunity. It is easy to take advantage of them -- you can just point things out to them if you don't have any materials. The following is both alarming and disturbing:

Here, she could at least be saying, "look, this is a bobby pin, and here's how it works -- it's what mommy uses to keep her hair together." [Note: He is looking in the complete opposite direction.]

Here the young boy appears to be flashing me or some other rider the peace sign in an effort to achieve attention. #sad

Now he grabs her arm to try to get some attention... to no avail. She is holding on to her "Louis Vuitton" handbag harder than she is onto him.

So... He begins to play along the back of the seat. [Note: Handbag is now being lifted.]

Now she is in the bag. This child needs a picture book, a toy... something. That's what's she's reaching for right?? Right????

Now she is going farther into the bag... for what... wtf??? Who in the hell knows??? It's time for me to mind my business!!!
